HE export of breadfruit by private and public agencies could be further improved after discussions on possible markets and economic potential was explored during a symposium held in Nadi this week.
Experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and private and public organisations gathered at the Tokatoka Resort to discuss the economic viability of breadfruit.
Deputy permanent secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture Miliakere Nawaikula said breadfruit was a perennial tree that was easy to grow in a wide range of ecological conditions with minimal care.
